Really Old News

Sept 2006

First off, if you haven't heard, Mike Olson, drummer from Realm, is now playing drums with us. So now we're a true die kreuzen and Realm blend.

We've been playing a few select shows this summer and mostly working on new material for our upcoming recording.

Be sure to check out our new Blog. It's our way of trying to keep this site a bit more current, and give you a way to interact with us outside of my space.

Check out this pic to the right. We were laughing so hard while trying to take these pics. If you look closely at everyone's face, you can tell we are about to giggle or just got done. So much for looking cool. The dragon doors in the background saved the shot.

And now for a recap of the last few months . . . .

Quest Club, Minneapolis,
with Local H

This was a fun time. Local H had us join them again for a road date, this time taking us back to the twin cities. We managed to convince Paul Laganowski (Realm guitarist) to join us for the trek, and join in the fun. We managed to get 80% of Realm in the same place at the same time, quite a feat these days.

Taste of Summer Festival - Waukesha, WI

It had been a while since any of us had played a show for Jack Koshick, notable promoter and creator of Metalfest. But here we were opening for Local H, and following the Barbeez - Interesting lineup, no doubt. This pic features band and crew hamming it up after a few cocktails, seemingly quite a few for some of us.

Club ?

This green shot to the left (also on our bio page) was from our second show with Mike Olson after only 3 rehearsals with the band, and it was pretty cool despite. Mike's debut was at the Cactus Club a couple of weeks before where no one was snapping pics, but we had the infamous Tanaka Suzuki here on this night snapping away from some unique angles. This was a fun night at a fun place. Hope to be back there soon.

Cinncinati, OH

After a long drive with hot-sticky weather in a van with no air and no tunes, we arrived in cin-ci to welcoming party of seedy motel professional ladies (this was mid-day mind you) -- which was a barometer of sorts for this visit. This shot (left) was taken in Cincinati following our show at Top Cats with Croatan, Brody's Militia and others. What a bizarre place this town is -- Vine st. has changed, and not for the better. Man, we were all looking, um, fatigued, at 3 AM, weren't we? Thanks to Mark and Jenny for bringing us down there.

Heartbreakers
West Allis, WI

Heartbreakers . . . girls taking off their close while you play loud, heavy music, and drink. What else can you say?

Thanks to Nuna, Spiral Trance, and Snooky for a fun time, and to DJB for having us again.
